A short guide on how to layer skincare products
Placing your skincare products in the right order will ensure they penetrate your skin. Here’s what you need to know.

1. Use a cleanser

The first thing you want to do is wash your face. More specifically, you want to use an oil-based cleanser followed by a water-based cleanser.

This will remove any makeup, grime, or excess oil on your skin.

2. Use toner

Next, you’ll want to use a toner – this will replenish your skin by removing any dirt or dead skin cells that have been left behind after cleansing.

All you have to do is tap it on your skin. Alternatively, you can saturate a cotton pad with the solution and use it to clean your face. Avoid anything alcohol-based if you have dry skin.

3. Use a serum

Apply serum from there. Basically, they are products that contain high amounts of certain ingredients, such as vitamin E or C.

Note: Depending on your serum, you may not need to use it every day.

4. Use an eye cream

Eye creams are specially formulated for the delicate skin around the eyes. For this reason, they are often thicker than regular creams. Common ingredients include vitamins C and E, retinol, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid.

While they won’t completely eliminate wrinkles, they can brighten and firm the area.

5. Use a moisturizer

Finally, you’ll want to soothe your skin by applying a moisturizer. For best results, choose a product that contains ceramides or glycerin. Alternatively, you can use something natural. For example, one of the uses of ostrich oil is moisturizing.
